You can self-refer into this service or be referred in from an external agency. Please either complete and submit our online referral form or download and email back one of the Word/PDF version.
Please note that this service is not in place of the 999 emergency services, if an ambulance is required you should call 999 immediately.
Please be honest as possible when filling in the form yourself or on behalf of someone else as so we can provide the best possible support.
The Liverpool Light service is a preventative out-of-hours mental health crisis service, open from 6pm-1am, 7 days a week and based in Liverpool city centre. It has been set up to provide a safe place for people who are experiencing or at risk of a mental health crisis.
This space offers a safe and secure environment for individuals to de-escalate, recuperate and begin their recovery. We provide a specialised referral service outside of GP and day service hours and offer an alternative to the A&E department at the nearby Royal Liverpool University Hospital. We offer a warm and supportive environment run by trained mental health support staff, intervention will be provided on an individual basis. Hot drinks and snacks will also be available free of charge.
